On the way home from brunch on Sunday, I asked Mike if he would mind if we stopped by the quilt shop. He paled a little, but agreed. We went to the Cambridge Quilt Shop which I don't get to very often. It's a nice shop with a medium-size selection of fabric in a more contemporary flavor.
Doesn't Mike seem delighted to accompany me? |
I did find some new black and white fabrics. Aren't they pretty?
Next time we'll go to the Fabric Place Basement. There is a Guitar Center next store, where Mike can hang out. In fact, sometimes it's hard to get him to leave!
Have a good day!
Pugs and kisses,
Nancy
Haha! Love the cartoon photo. I am not allowed to visit a quilt shop while with the hubby. I take too long, he says. Maybe someone should think of a store with fabric on one side and men's tools or such on the other side! Or just a long row of TVs on one wall.
ReplyDeleteLOL Great cartoon, the the skeleton in the chair is better. I needed fabric reinforcements of the same sort this week.
ReplyDeleteHehe! I love both the live pic of your hubby and the cartoon! The way to keep any of them from becoming like the skeleton is to need help carrying the bolts--then at least they're still moving!
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm lucky--my husband went to his first quilt show with me last September, and loved it. He actually wanted to move slower through the quilt show portion than I did! He was very patient while I shopped too. He asked me a couple of months ago when we were going to another one! I dutifully made reservations for a little getaway for Quilt Destination Savannah, which just happens to be quite close to my birthday in March. I'd better get a pic or two of him this time, or no one will believe it. ;-)
Those black and whites are scrumptious! Can't wait to see what you do with one of these days!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary, Nancy. Sounds like you got a good one. I've got a good one too but I can't say he's ever been in a quilt shop WITH me. He chooses to wait in the car and listen to a pod cast. He has, however, visited my favorite shops alone when looking for a gift for me. The shop owners have always been VERY helpful. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are very brave. Not only do I not take my hubby with me, I try not to let him know I'm going ;-)
